Yogamy Ferreras-Farley
Wood-Ridge, New Jersey

In 1995, at the age of 17, Yogamy studied Fine Arts at the world-renowned Altos de Chavon, a prestigious art school, an affiliate of Parsons School for Design, in La Romana in her native country. In 1997, she was awarded The Ruth Vanderpool Scholarship to study illustration at The New School University/Parsons School for Design in New York City.
Yogamy’s works are predominately studies of composition and shape, harmoniously derived from her unique sensibility to create texture with color. She incorporates a contemporary impressionistic style to create lush backdrops that naturally embrace her subjects, which are often reflective of the vibe and culture of the people in The Dominican Republic. Her artwork has been exhibited in several galleries both the U.S. and The Dominican Republic.
Yogamy holds a B.F.A. in Illustration from Parsons School for design and works as an illustrator/designer.
