Raisa Nosova

Raisa NosovaRaisa Nosova is a Russian-born American artist that has received her formal art education from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington D.C., and Vesalius College in Brussels. Curiosity in cultures and in clear perception of the world has driven her to begin encountering the world through travels to Europe, Near East, and Southeast Asia. In the years she has shared the discovered essence through her “atmosphere-capturing” paintings, which are now beginning to take an expressionistic turn. Raisa is currently working on her upcoming solo exhibition at Bernard Cauchet Gallery in London.

Raisa’s work has been exhibited in solo shows in Paris, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Newark, and Montclair, New Jersey. She has received recognition from art magazines such as Fresh Paint Magazine and Washington Square Review as well as the Mulberry Street Library, the Monmouth Museum, the Whistler Museum of Art, Bakhrushin Central State Theatre Museum in Moscow, SCOPE art fair in Miami, the Armory Art Center, and the NJIT Museum. Recently, she worked on public art projects with You Are So Lucky at the Alder Manor in New York, with CCNOA for their biannual event in Brussels, and Urban Studios for the Armory Week at Bridge Art Fair Miami. Additionally, Raisa is a recipient of the George T. Dorsch Award, 2012, Fannie Kipnes Memorial Award for Oil Painting, 2014, and the N.A.W.A. 125 Years: Women in Vision Third Place Award, 2015.
