Hoboken artist Laurie Felber earned her B.F.A. from Parsons School of Design, NYC. She also holds a professional certificate in Arts Administration from N.Y.U. and a New Jersey teacher’s certification in the Visual Arts. She currently is on the faculty of the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, Summit, NJ.
Laurie works in multiple mediums including watercolors, oils, and pastels. She enjoys capturing the surrounding natural beauty of Audubon Sanctuary to the shores of Long Beach Island. Over the years, Laurie has practiced figure drawing with other New Jersey-based artists such as Anthony Panzera and Peter Allen. Currently, she is a member of the Jersey City Drawing Club based at Mana Contemporary.
She has exhibited in the St. John’s on the Mountain jury show, and won honorable mention. Laurie participated in the Paterson Art Walk for several years. In 2018, Laurie displayed her work with both Long Beach Island artists and Hoboken open studio tours. Her paintings have been displayed at Art & Decor of Surf City, Long Beach Island and the Beach Haven Municipal Building, Beach Haven, NJ.
