“Self isolation and life in four walls made me thinking about the value of things in life. What are the essential things for comfortable living? I started to collect objects around the house that I actually use on a daily basis and put them in perfectly balanced compositions to oppose the unbalanced world outside. It helps me to stay motivated, to wake up in the morning and feel like I am in control of some things in my life.

The small Victorinox knife has been with me for more then 15 years. I got it as a present from my brother when I was an art school student in Moscow. I would carry it with me every day to sharpen my pencils for a drawing class and cut apples during brakes. Now, it’s my go-to knife for light trips and my only and best manicure scissors at home. The big one is mostly used for camping, but I do open wine bottles with it so I consider it essential for the quarantine life.  : ) ”
