Aboriginal Dot Goddess by Liz Cohen
hob’art co-operative gallery is proud to announce its first group show “LIMIT/LIMITLESS” at the Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Edward Williams Gallery at Petrocelli College. The show runs from December 4 – January 12, 2018. The opening reception will be on Sunday December 10, 2017 from 2 – 4pm.

Participating artists include: Alberte Bernier, Tom Egan, Olga Garcia, Mildred Kaye, Ann Kinney, Janet Kolstein, Ibou Ndoye, Liz Cohen Ndoye, Donna O’Grady, Jean Paul Picard, Piper Smith, Leslie Rubman, and Meredeth Turshen.

The theme, “LIMIT/LIMITLESS”, gives free rein to the artists to explore what they perceive to be the limits or lack of limits in their work. This is evident in the rich, vibrant, and varied colors and textures employed by O’Grady, Cohen Ndoye, Garrido, Turshen, and Bernier. Human limits seem imposed on the more representational and thought provoking images of Ndoye, Kaye, Picard and Untoria. A surrealist dreamlike, other worldly quality surround the photograph of Kinney, the digital art of Kolstein, and the mixed media work of Rubman—showing that art can overcome limits of media, technique, and format.
