Join us this Saturday, March 24, at 3pm for Artists’ Talks during New Works 2018 exhibit with artists Gloria Pacis, Theda Sandiford, Cheryl Gross, and Bryant Small at the Garden Level Gallery, 315 3rd St., Jersey City, NJ.

Learn what inspires them, their philosophy on art, and how they create their amazing artwork!

Gloria Pacis
As a working artist residing in Jersey City, Gloria Pacis’s work focuses on inner human existence, based on pictures taken on her phone as she walks through a city. She is fascinated by the untold stories that come into focus when a moment is captured in an instant from their busy lives. Included in HobokenArts™ New Works 2018 is her painting Merger.

Theda Sandiford
Theda Sandiford transforms found and meticulously collected materials into mixed media works, photographs the process and then digitally manipulates these images to extend the narrative as part of her personal mythology. Fragmented identity juxtaposed with the existence of infinite possibilities is a recurring theme in her work. Learn more as she discusses her digital prints Minerva and Persephone’s Diamond Life included in the HobokenArts™ New Works 2018 exhibit.

Cheryl Gross
Cheryl Gross equates her work with creating and building an environment, transforming her inner thoughts into reality. Beginning with the physical process, she work in layers. She is involved in solving visual and verbal complexities such as design and narrative. Her urban influence has indeed added an ‘edge’ to her work. Learn more how this Jersey City artist creates her art. Works included in the New Works 2018 show include Dog and Pinhead, Octumon, Karpland Taxi, and Bowling for Dollars.

Bryant Small
Jersey City artist Bryant Small is constantly seeking new and interesting ways to develop his craft and master alcohol ink painting. He is driven by intense color contrasts, movement, and the need to make the mind spin through abstraction. Learn how he uses alcohol inks to make art that is free-flowing, unpredictable, and that levitates from the page. Included in the show are his works Siren and Manifest…Wildest Dreams.
